Vision Boards...

Vision Boards and Goal Setting
Now it's time to ramp up our goal setting exercises that we talked about in previous blogs. If you want to make your children's goals a reality, it's often best to show them what is available to them using pictures. With pictures, you can actually show your children what they can accomplish. A vision board is a collage of pictures that represents your child's dreams. A vision board is a great way for you and your child to have fun setting goals by searching for pictures that represent their goals and ambitions. You can use pictures of diplomas and scholarship awards to help them with their goal of attaining a college scholarship. If you child desires to be a veterinarian, using pictures of a veterinarian practice in a veterinarian at work is a great way for him are her to visualize their dreams. If you child hopes to make the soccer team or basketball team, putting pictures of high school soccer players from the school-team that he or she desires to be a part of is also a great way to assist you child in setting and reaching his or her goals. There are endless possibilities that you can employ from this exercise, and parents also can benefit from this exercise.
A great way to employ this idea would be to create a business vision board for yourself and help you child create his or her own vision board. It's important to also realize, that the vision boards should be placed in a location where they can be seen every day. Your vision board will involve as you child grows and their ambitions change over the years. Please feel free to send me a picture of you with your child in your vision boards and all do the same for you. I hope you have as much fun as I have in constructing my vision board and I hope that this exercise will help your child come one step closer to realizing his or her goals and dreams.
